100 days project update: days 81- 90

You all... I mean, when I commit to something... 

 I mean, who could resist this pink sofa?!

 

Yes, I started this project in May of 2016. Yes, I'm still working on it. 

And guess what... I only have 10 left!

 no background on this one! I felt the intense colors of the florals needed a white background so they would really pop.

Added some more tablescapes to my collection. It's so fun to see the progression, especially in terms of color useage and subject.

100 days project update: days 71-80

If you remember way, way back last year I started the 100 Days Project. And then life happened and I wasn't able to finish before the end of the year. Well I finally got some more pages done!

 I mostly stuck with florals in this group, except for day 77 when I went a little experimental and non-objective.

This was a colorful group. You can tell my palette shifts a bit at number 79 -- that was my first page of 2017!

As I mentioned here, I got some Acryla gouaches and had a lot of fun playing with their innate opacity through painting bright florals.

Guys, I am so behind in sharing these updates... forgive me. 

 

 

I got back to my roots with some florals and also threw in some landscape studies for a large painting I was working on. I also completed a couple of these while traveling, which I'd like to call a win (despite working with limited resources, time, and workspace; even if they aren't my favorite works).
