Whew, I have a lot to catch up on! The past several weeks have been super busy with shows, weddings, traveling, and orders.

Here's a little recap:

Had a great time at the Leon & Lulu Summer Artists' Market

Printing and packaging for shows and shops!

New painting in progress featuring a lovely ginger jar.

Booth at the Anton Art Fair. The weather was great (the storm held off), and we even saw some friends!

new designs (p.s. for anyone who has ever inquired - this is why I don't offer calligraphy services - all my lettering is carefully gridded out on graph paper before I paint it. Very time-intensive, and not at all practical for envelope addressing!)

painting new designs

Christmas sneak peek!

one of my customers sent me this of my print in her (super cute) bathroom!

Ikea now sells cats. (they find the weirdest places to sit, don't they?)

Also, I now have some paintings available in the Elements Gallery of the Detroit Artists' Market!

Tiny Expo Recap

Tiny Expo was last Saturday at the Ann Arbor District Library and it was great! I took all my photos before the show began, so don't be fooled by the wide open spaces - it was packed with a steady stream of customers all day.

I just can't reiterate enough how much I love indoor shows. haha. I do love nature and the outdoors, but I was blessed with allergies and pale skin...

It was fun to be in a show in Ann Arbor - amazingly short commute!

Thanks so much to the Ann Arbor District Library for hosting and putting together the event!

That wraps up my 2014 show schedule!

I still have some paintings at Detroit Artists Market till the New Year, and my Etsy shop is open for orders until Saturday Dec 20th at 3pmEST. After the 18th, you'll need to get expedited shipping, so get those last-minute orders in!

AAAC All Media Exhibition Opening

Friday night was the opening reception for the Ann Arbor Art Center's All Media Exhibition. I knew a couple of other artists in the show, which was fun, and there was a really great variety of pieces. Listening to juror Marianetta Porter's talk made me miss being in art school surrounded by inspiring people; it's such a different experience when you are working alone in your studio without that challenging academic environment. The juror's award piece (of which I forgot to take a good photo, oops) was a large sculpture made entirely of cardboard, which was not only meticulously crafted, but made a very impactful statement about the environment and the effect we are having on our future (further supported by the fact that it was made out of one of the most unattractive, acidic, and fastest-decomposing man-made substances that exists which, if kept in its original form, aka wood, would potentially last centuries. Smart and cheeky)

Thank you so much to our friends who came!
