New watercolor greeting cards

I have new watercolor greeting cards in the shop
They all feature intense colors of watercolor wash with white lettering.

I showed this progress shot a while back

These were painted on 140-lb. cold press Arches paper, which has a lovely texture that is picked up slightly when the images are scanned into the computer for printing. I used the same paper for my new prints "read" and "create" as seen in the image above.

For the white lettering, I hand-paint it on in gouache, and then brighten it a bit in Photoshop (I don't use Photoshop for much, but it really helps intensify the whites in this type of lettering, allowing for more legible words when printing.)

As you can compare the "love" original painting above with the finished card below, and the originals of my new "read" and "create" prints above, and the prints here and here, the colors and integrity of the paint in the originals are untouched from the prints, other than the brightness of the white lettering.

The cheery, fun color is a night brightness for the dreary fall weather (in Michigan the trees are pretty much bare now)!
